Jean-Pierre is so thoughtful. He views the world through a prism of pure beauty. Just watch Amelie. It just makes you feel good. Jean-Pierre started in commercials. And then he cobbled together his first feature film, Delicatessen. (He’s a self-taught filmmaker.) Delicatessen was nominated for 10 French Cèsar Awards — the highest film honor in France — with Jeunet winning 2 of those awards. The City of Lost Children was nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes. Amèlie was nominated for 5 Oscars, 9 BAFTA Awards, and 13 Cèsar Awards and A Very Long Engagement was nominated for 2 Oscars and a BAFTA and a Golden Globe. He simply loves what he does.
