Sam comes from a background in architecture and design in England, which helped propel him into the world of photo-realistic CGI production in the US.

His experience in creating CG films quickly translated into the world of live-action.

His love for his new home in New York City, inspired him to shoot his first short film, The Sandpit, which tells the story of a day in New York City through using tilt shift special effects to make the city appear in miniature. With millions of views, it took the web by storm and was bought by MOMA in NYC for their permanent film collection. The film caught the attention of Golden Voice who commissioned him to shoot a film for the Coachella Music Festival.

Sam has talked about his work in front of audiences in Europe, Dubai and at the Siggraph Conference in San Diego as an expert in photo-real animation. Sam also completed a comedic narrative short film, Going Local, which was shot in Brooklyn.
