Peter Lydon
Peter Lydon has managed to dovetail a successful career as a leading TV drama director with an increasing presence in the world of commercials.
His drama work includes “Shameless”, “Teachers”, “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” and “Vincent”. His gripping four part period drama “Garrow’s Law” won a prestigious Royal Television Society award in 2010. His short “Uncle Santa” was the first ever 3D drama commission in the UK.
Peter began as a documentary maker with award winning films for The South Bank Show and BBC Arena. His BAFTA nominated biography of Peter Sellers won three major awards in the US.
His experience with actors has helped him build up a reputation for great comedy performance with clients including Orange, Discovery Channel, AXA, COI and IKEA. During the last two years he has directed the hugely successful Fairytale campaign for Sky Broadband and Sky Anytime+ including Princess and the Pea, Aladdin, The Frog Prince, King Arthur, The Emperor’s New Clothes and The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
