David Mould
From Blur to Black Grape, Radiohead to Robbie Williams, Tom Jones to Take That: Dave Mould - ‘Mouldy’ - is one of the most prolific music video Directors in the World.
Having been a drummer in numerous bands and virtually hijacking his art college’s video equipment for three years Dave Mould aka ‘Mouldy’ moved to London and launched himself into making music videos…
After the success of his first professional video for Cut 2 Kill, he was immediately signed to Partizan. His next video was “Popscene” for Blur, which started the journey of nearly 100 more music videos (some with over twenty million views!!!), one or two commercials, virals and live concert documentaries along the way.
His career as a Director has spanned over fifteen years and includes work with Asher D, Brand New Heavies, Bryan Adams, Doves, Elbow, Embrace, Evanescence, Feeder, James Morrison, James Dean Bradfield, Kylie Minogue, Moloko, Olly Murs, Placebo, Radiohead, Reef, Skunk Anansie and Westlife among many many more.
His love for atmosphere, beautiful considered cinematography and natural drama in both a land or cityscape is captured through his delicate camera moves, slick editing, the odd touch of wry humour and sensitive attention to detail.
