Blog: O2 ‘A FAN’S BEST FRIEND’
Continuing the highly successful ‘Be more Dog’ campaign, VCCP asked director Yann Secouet to create a film for the O2 Matchday app.
In a reflection of the app’s features, we see the world through our O2 dog’s eyes as he chases down the England stars during the pre-match training, the journey to Twickenham and the big game itself.
The film also plays out on big screens to the thousands of fans at Twickenham in England’s next crunch match against Wales.
Yann’s love of in-camera techniques inspired his design of a bespoke camera rig, employed to emulate ‘Dog Vision’. He explains: “I needed something that would give us the speed and playfulness of a dog whilst being robust enough to work in a live event scenario”.
As a big rugby fan himself he describes running out of the Twickenham tunnel with the players to 80,000 cheering fans as a great privilege.
